Regine, Gary, Apl, Martin, and Jabba in June!

The beginning of June, 2008 boasts of the best quality entertainment to grace the Filpino American community this year.

Asia’s songbird, Regine Velasquez, will have a solo concert entitled “Up Close and Personal” at Southern California’s premier destination, Morongo Casino Resort Spa in Cabazon, located next to the factory outlets. The intimate concert is scheduled for Sunday, June 1 at 4PM in Morongo’s event center.

Regine Velasquez, is one of the finest artists in the Philippines. Beautiful, talented and effervescent, she reigns supreme in her chosen profession and has starred in numerous blockbuster movies.

The Morongo Casino Resort Spa is Los Angeles’ perfect alternative to Las Vegas, offering nearly 150,000 square feet of gaming action. The Jabbawockeez, best known for their recent victory as “America’s Best Dance Crew”, on the very popular dance reality TV series on MTV, hosted by American Idol’s Randy Jackson, will be doing a special guest performance for Gary V’s show along with their fellow Jabbawockeez members. Most popular among the youth, the Jabbawockeez are recognized for their unique style of dance and the marionette masks they wear while performing.

Allen Pineda is best known as Apl.de.Ap of the Black Eyed Peas of the top performing pop/hip-hop quartet worldwide and will also be performing for Gary’s celebration. Apl revolutionized Filipino presence in the American music industry when he composed, performed and included Tagalog in the Black Eyed Peas’ albums, such as the popular dance song, “Bebot”.

Martin Nievera, a fellow musical performer, and one of Gary V’s best friends who moved from the Philippines to America to try out the American music scene in Las Vegas, will also be a special addition as a guest at Gary V’s remarkable anniversary celebration.

After his concert on June 7 at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, Gary V, the Jabbwockeez, and Martin Nievera will perform up north at the Stockton Arena on June 13.
